Newington House

A beautiful celebration of two cultures coming together, where Chinese traditions met Scottish heritage in perfect harmony.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Newington House, L&Ks marquee wedding began with a celebrant ceremony by the river, complete with a traditional handfasting that symbolized the binding of their two families and cultures.

As guests made their way to the reception, they were greeted by the sounds of a ceilidh band and treated to ice cream from a vintage cart. The stunning Sperry tent became a fusion of East meets West, adorned with Chinese lanterns.

Before dinner, guests were honoured to witness a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, a deeply meaningful moment that paid tribute to brides heritage. As the evening unfolded, the marquee came alive with a Thai banquet meal and dancing that continued well into the early hours.
